The Computorium, as we call, is our central computing facility that provides practical traning for the students of all six programmes and for other short term courses.  It has full time network administrators and technical support personnel.  In the hardware front, the Computorium has around 42 IBM thick clients running on Linux with Windows partitions.  The intranet is governed by IBM P5 Rack Servers.  In addition the lab is equipped with Sun Machines running on Solaris OS and Sun thin-ray clients.  The Computorium has more powerful IBM Rack servers running AIX/Linux which includes P5 and AMD Servers.  The department has state of art Apple Machitosh (iMAC and ibook) machines to provde enriched operating system experience.
